Day 01: Mumbai
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Mumbai
Welcome to Vardhman's "Backwaters of Kerala". On arrival in Mumbai you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.

Day 02: Mumbai
After breakfast proceed on a full day city tour of Mumbai.
Visit Juhu Beach, Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum and later a half-day excursion to Elephanta caves.In the evening make your way through the various sets of a typical film studio. From a place to the village square. See men with cameras mounted on cranes shooting sequences, inviting your tour of Film city's electrifying ambience while dining on delicacies that are no less interesting than the 'masala' (spice ) of Indian movies.

Day 03: Mumbai - Trivandrum - Kovalam (By flight)
This morning after breakfast transfer to the airport to catch flight for Trivandrum. Arrive and drive to Kovalam (16 kms) and check into Ayurvedic Resort, which is a perfect hide way, far from mass tourism.
Somatheeram is also known for its reputed Yoga centre where Yoga and meditation can be learned and practiced under the guidance of a Yoga Guru. Day 06: Kovalam- Alleppey
To experience the best of Kerala, go aboard an exciting houseboat cruise along the Kerala backwaters. Morning drive to Alleppey and check in to the houseboat on arrival. The overnight cruise takes you from Alleppey allowing you to enjoy serene surroundings en route. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served on board

Day 07: Cochin
Today morning relax on houseboat, after lunch drive to Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel.

Day 08: Cochin
After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Cochin.
Visit Jewish Synagogue - Built in 1568, the 400-year-old synagogue in Cochin is the oldest in the Commonwealth. The interiors have exquisite hand painted Chinese tiles and Belgian Chandeliers. St. Francis Church - The first European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets - The huge, elegant Chinese fishing nets, Dutch Palace - built by the Portuguese in 1557, later occupied by the Dutch and renovated. In the evening we shall take you for the Kathakali Dance show.

Day 09: Cochin - Periyar
After breakfast drive to Periyar. Upon arrival at Periyar check into your hotel.
Later visit, spice plantations and open grasslands lined with spectacular water falls and delightful trekking trails form the access to your hideaway here.

Day 10: Periyar
Today you might have an opportunity to meet the beast. Come! Let's pierce into the Den & go to Periyar Tiger Reserve. Trekking with a local guide familiarizes you to the rare birds, trees & flowers that are come across here. You can even set upon a walk through the plantations filled with the heady fragrance of fresh spice. A safari on the Periyar Lake extends a lifetime's chance to spot exotic wildlife in its natural habitat - like the eccentric bathing habits of the wild elephants that come down to the lake.

Day 11: Periyar - Kumarakom
This morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On arrival check in hotel. Plan your trip for Kumarakom bird sanctuary. You would be able to enjoy windsailing and water skiing.
Enjoy the sunset cruise in the evening.

Day12: Kumarakom - Cochin - Mumbai
After breakfast drive back to Cochin and transfer to the airport to catch flight for Mumbai. On arrival transfer to International Airport to board the flight for your onward destination with sweet and unforgettable memories of "Backwaters of Kerala" escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
